Wifi stopped working, pops up sometimes.

Hi

My Iphone doesn't see any wifi after it just quit working a few months back. Every now and then however it'll find a few networks, then dissapear 2 seconds later.

Ive tried resetting and reflashing. Gps works. Pretty sure bluetooth works aswell.

If it's the wifi chip itself it's the very long grey metal component on the back of the logic board. You do see them for sale on eBay from time to time and I believe someone has put a source/link on a previous post about wifi chip for a US supplier. Obviously not a job for everyone but if you know someone handy...

There were loads of problems with wifi going AWOL when 4.0.x came out. I see you've tried reflashing but does this mean updating/restoring/reinstalling? Just an idea

Yea i'm actually at 3.1.3 I did go up to 4.1 at one point but i came back. Thanks for the info about the wifi.
