iHome IPL8 doesn't recognize when iPhone is connected

updated my iPhone 7Plus to OS 11.0.1 - but now when connected to the iHome iPL8 it will connect to charge iPhone - but will not play music or iHeartradio through iHome speakers - any advice?

The iPL8 is compatible with the iOS 11 update.

Try to do a hard reset on your iPhone 7 plus.

Press and hold the On/Off button and volume - button (located on the left side of your iPhone 7). Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds. (If you see the Apple logo, you've held them too long and will need to start again.) . If the problem persists contact iHome Support who can walk you through the process.
