iPhone 6s shows no signs of life

I replaced the battery and charging port on my iPhone 6s. The phone doesn’t show the dead battery indicator and won’t even go into DFU mode. Both parts have been tested with other phones. The problem started when the phone would boot loop with the original battery. I restored while it was still on iOS 10.3.3 and then completely wiped and upgraded to iOS 11. Update lasted a few days and then that’s when it completely died and I tried replacing those parts. Am I missing something or am I SOL?

There have been numerous reports of iOS 11 causing Touch issues on the iPhone 6S with certain aftermarket screens. You can check my profile for a link to a blog post I wrote about the subject. If you never had your screen replaced, then this shouldn't the problem.

Boot looping can be caused by many things, from defective modular component to logic board issue to data or software corruption. Here's what I would try to see if the problem is modular in nature or not. Disconnect all of the flexes from the logic board except the battery and dock. Seeing as how you tested those on another device, use them so you have known-good parts. Then connect the phone to iTunes and see if it is recognized. If it is, then one of the modules you disconnected is causing the problem. If iTunes still doesn't see the phone, then you have a logic board issue and that will require a trip to a micro-solderer.
