Rear camera replacement from different model

I am trying to swap my 5MP rear camera from Alcatel One touch pop icon (7040T) for upgraded MP camera from a different Alcatel model, leaving everything else the same. Will this be possible? Would I be able to take better, clearer pictures on the hardware side? Will the pins, ribbon cable length, angle be different and have connectivity issues?

Thinking about the donor camera from Alcatel One Touch Idol 3.

The answer is simple: no. It wouldn't be compatible on the hardware side or software.

You may be able to get better pictures if you use the HDR mode in your camera. I find this helps significantly even in low dynamic range images.
