Broken home button on iPhone 7.

I got my iPhone 7 wet and the home button isn’t working. When I press it nothing happens. Touch ID works though. Before it broke it acted weird, it’d vibrate and go to the home screen when I didn’t press it and it’d just be weird. Someone please tell me how or where to fix it.

Has the screen been damaged or the phone been opened up?

Nope just dropped it in a pool and took it out and let it sit in rice for 24 hrs and that’s the only problem

Chosen Solution

Normally I would suggest you open up your device and properly decontaminate it before anything else...better yet, have a pro do it. The danger if you don't is that latent issues will crop up down the road. However, on the iPhone 7, Home Button issues can only be resolved by Apple themselves.

So if you already have a good backup, you should consider having your device replaced if you want the Home Button fully functional. Expensive but pretty much the only solution to have it 100%.
