Screen is black and unresponsive, screen recently replaced

So my iPod classic's screen went black and is now completely unresponsive even when plugged into my laptop. My laptop doesn't recognize it as it usually does (usually iTunes opens up), but it has it labelled as my iPod. I can still hear the driver running, but I replaced the screen less than a year ago. I recently got the hold switch and headphone jack replaced (couldn't get her open myself but I've done a few repairs), could it be a connection issue from the repair work?
