Ive got a Yamaha FJ900S (c2000)and need to shorten & weld the top tubes under the saddle . Other than disconnecting both battery terminals is there anything else I should disconnect ,,i.e cdu ect

Not really. Just remove the battery and all the gas and run it so there isnt any gas left. Then use some fireproof material to protect another parts you wouldnt want to damage.
