Im Buying a Gigabyte GTX 1070 wind force edition. Can my CPU handle this or it will burn out?

Hello all,

my CPU is an i3 4160. so my question is that can my CPU survive this? or it will die?? i could buy an air cooler can this help..if it dose what kind of cooler should i buy? which i can use with the i7 i am gonna buy in the future. i am not worried abt bottleneck. cz im gonna buy a i7 4790 later

I'm not sure how a more powerful graphics card can burn out a CPU.

What wattage is your power supply?

The worst that's going to happen if you have a good enough power supply is that the CPU is just going to bottleneck the graphics card and nothing else.

I have a EVGA GTX 1070 FTW ACX 3.0 and it's pretty good, well any 1070 variant with at least two fans is good. Any decent 500W-650W power supply is plenty for that graphics card.
