iPhone storage stuck on 2 gigs? why is that?

so last night, i had ran out of storage for like an hour, i deleted apps that took up my space and reinstalled them, but my phones storage was stuck at 0 for almost 2 hours.. so i tackled the issue by removing certain photos in a app i use called photo tank and shifting them around for hours until my phone storage went from 0 to 400 mb, so thinking deleting an app would save me space , i did that and all night and day my phone just been saying storage is at 2 gigs, what does it mean and how do i get back my mbs that i originally had? it just says gigs and its really weird and scary cuz what if i dont get to take photos anymore?

what do i do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'm not sure what your concern is. You had zero space, you removed some photos and got 400MB space, then you deleted an app and got 2GB space. That's normal, assuming your app was about 1.6GB in size (which isn't terribly unusual, especially for graphic-heavy games). What's the issue?

EDIT: I just re-read your post and I think I get it now... You don't understand "MB" and "gigs", I think. 1GB is 1000MB, so when you deleted those pictures you recovered 400MB of space. When you deleted the app you recovered an additional 1600MB space, for a total of 2000MB -- or 2GB -- of space.

2 gigs is actually 2048 mbs so you now have more space than before so good job deleteing those apps
