What will make adhesive strips stick on both sides?

I have the iPhone 3GS front panel repair kit and I got through most of the process successfully, but I have gotten stuck with the adhesive strips. They stuck to the inside of the plastic fine, but I cannot tell if the orange plastic should be removed from something to attach the new front panel or if there is something else I should do. The only side that is sticky is the side that is down.

The double sided strips are a pain, bare with it and either get a Stanley knife on one of the tiny tabs and try to get tape up. I have found that folding a corner before removing orange paper helps. Mostly it is swearing and patience though.

I disagree with Polly on the swearing.

I find that machines that have been cursed over a lot have strange anomalies. It seems to take an inordinate amount of time to get them working properly. It’s like they’ve been hit with electrostatic discharge. So I recommend keeping the swearing to a minimum. Talk to machine nicely in a pleasant voice and tell it how great a machine it is and what a great heritage it has and that you’re proud to own it and it will seem to perk up and run much better. I do agree with Polly about the patience

You're right! But then people think you're crackers instead of cross with a tiny bit of sticky paper.... Lol

Oh well, I talk to my plants too and they respond well, but it could just be the additional CO2 they get from me ;-) besides most people already KNOW I'm crackers.

They do have glue on both sides . I can tell you that I replaced a screen with the 3M stickers and the sticky layer is very-very thin , probably thinner than human hair , it has a paper cover that says 3M on it , you remove one side and stick it on the screen frame and then you remove the second one while it's stuck to the frame .

You can find instructional videos .
