Worth fixing these issues?

Hi,

My 18 months old Iphone SE took a dive into the floor a while ago.

Screen was broken and couldn't charge anymore. The back camera didn't work anymore. The "selfie" camera turned off intermittent. :-/

I had the lcd/glass replaced, a new battery and they also replaced some "electric thing with the charging".

The "selfie" camera was working sometime. Sometimes not.

Some months later the screen cracked. By itself.

I suppose it could be the metal back case that isn't 100% rectangular anymore.

And now, the phone is dead. Seems like the powerbutton is stuck.

(doesn't help with charging or to deattach the battery)

So, thanks if you have read this far :) , my wonder is - is it worth buying new parts and try to make it ok again?

New screen of course. Powerbutton (can that be bought?). Do I need a new back case....

All suggestions are warm welcome.

Thanks,

Pat

That was a serious fall! The back housing is broken. The modules for the problems you enumerate are all located on that top/top-right area of the phone. No wonder none of them work and the screen cracked again.

I don't understand why the battery was replaced though.

At any rate, yes, you will have to invest some money here, starting with a replacement housing. I would go to a few shops and get estimates and then determine if the repair is worth it.

Hi Minho,

Thanks for your fast feedback!

Would you or someone else here on the forum be able suggest some parts from Ifixit (or similar) to start with ?

We have two local "phone-fixers" here in town, the first one fixed the old issues and the other one, I think he is from another planet, very hard to get things fixed there. :-)

Anyway, I appreciate your suggestion!

Thank,

Pat

Most of the parts are here. For the rear housing, you will have to search online.
