Installed new Hybrid SSD drive, the SSD dosnt show up in disk utility

I installed the ssd hybrid drive no issues (great guide) but disk utility dosnt show the ssd, only 500g hard drive. Under System info it shows EFI but formatted as MS DOS Fat 32 which I am guessing is my problem.

How do I fix this?

Yes drive is running fine, just the fact the ssd is showing under system info as efi and msdos fat 32

Have not noticed it being faster because of ssd part of drive though? Should this be noticeable ?

It doesn't work does it? PCs use FAT formats. Intel Macs use a GUID format. Then partition it Mac OS X extended . Also hybrid drive is just going to show up as one drive.

I did that but in system info the ssd (assuming it is ) shows as EFI and fat 32 grrrr

When I installed the new disk I used the external enclosure and booted my dead Mac from a external hard drive which I had installed os sierra on, recovery mode then disk utilities

It said disk was not initialised so I chose Mac journaled Guid

Then installed os from disk utility in recovery mode, and then restored time machine back up

A Mac system will run off a FAT formatted disk externally but not internally. You have to reformat it GUID for it to work internally.

The hard drive is running OS sierra fine - disk was initialised ad formatted as GUID Mac journaled

Info shows that as Mac journaled guid partition, but the ssd component shows as efi and fat 32

Dosnt show in disk utility only in system utilities

That's normal on a hybrid drive. It's not going to show two drives just the one 500 GB. Outside of that is the disk running normally?
