zero response from iPhone

One day I took my Iphone 3G out of my pocket and the screen was black. It wouldn't respond to anything if I tried to unlock or reboot it. When I got home I plugged in in my pc and still nothing happened. Then I plugged it in the charger en the apple symbol came on but just for a few secconds (this only happened a few times, now it also does not respond when it's in the charger).

Pleas help me!

Thanks!

Sten

Update

now it gives error 23 so I can't restore it. I've read about this error, does this mean my logic board is broken? or are there any other possibilities?

error 23..."radio" error. no one has posted the answer to how to solve it. I think the error is from baseband/software corruption. Have seen only one firm in the uk who have said they can sort this out...

if you know what firmware/modem etc you had you could try a jailbreak- I tried pwnage and redsn0w but this was some time back. and not successful

you can try looking at all the parts for damage etc. bottom line is a new logic board....

hold the home and power button down for 10 seconds, then without releasing the home button, release the power button and hold the home button for 30 seconds, do all of this while connected to your computer.
