Why does vibrator motor run nonstop when the battery is plugged in?

replaced battery. when I reconnect the battery to the socket on the motherboard the vibrator motor runs like a "motorboat" I cannot see any mis-connection to cause this. phone was operating normally before battery swap.

If you reinstall your original battery, does the issue persist?

I also would recommend doing factory reset with the new battery installed.

I had it once when some greyish material used for insulation flaked and a small piece got stuck inside a connector. It bridged two pins and caused a short - constant vibration.

Once I found and removed it, the vibrating stopped.
