Computer doesn't recognise note 4. OTG cable shows phone screen on tv

My note 4 is not recognised by windows 10 or Linux. I have tried several computes and multiple cables, including Samsung original cables. When I connected the phone to an OTG cable it shows on the TV which seems to indicate the data connection is OK? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
