Spilled Coke in it and sat for months. Is it dead?

Have Yamaha RX V567 for home theater. Spilled Coke on the internals and it sat for months without knowing. No power, no nothing. Took it to local guy who only repairs stuff with tubes. He said it was probably dead but to cover internals in 409 c leaner, rinse, let dry and see what happens. Figured I had nothing to lose. Inside looks great now but still nothing. I am fairly handy and stubborn so will try to fix if I have some direction and suggestions. Anybody got anything or is it time to trash it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Depends of what metals were in the RX V567. The main ingredient of Coke is phosphoric acid, which does cause corrosion to some of those metals.
