No LTE after lightning port swap?

Hey guys-

I recently replaced my lightning port and can only now get 1X signal and only 1 bar.

I get wifi just fine.

I've reset network settings and hard reset the phone.

When I replace the old parts, everything works as normal.

I am on my fourth lightning connector all with the same problem. Put back in the old parts, boom, works great, I just can't charge the phone.

I've tried 3 "no name" and now I am on an ifixit part.

Any ideas?

The problem is that you are probably buying aftermarket parts that do not work properly.

I've had a few JBL branded charger ports exhibit the exact same issue on the iPhone 6.

The best change is to try getting the original / apple branded charging port assemblies as they are pretty much gauranteed to work.

If you get one that does not work from a seller, do not buy another one from them. Buy from another seller.

On eBay I tend to get replacement small parts from Chinese sellers with extra tag names on items e.g like this:

I search iPhone 6 charging port jneg for example on eBay to find them.

I agree. Too many shotty parts. I bought this not last one from ifixit. Wanted a used factory part but they were out. I guess I'll return this one and try and find a factory part.

Just threw my old parts back in and have excellent signal.

hey I am not positive about this but you said that the old part has charging problem right so why don't you micro solder if you know how to... otherwise, look for a known good lightening connector assembly that you have seen working! I hope it was helpful.

I've thought about giving that a shot. Maybe I will.
