Just followed the instructions to replace my HD cable and it hasn't worked. In fact the old spinning drive which used to work now doesn't either.
I have "cracked" the cable slightly where it goes over the optical drive would this be enough to make it not work?
This is the "crack"

I often replace the cable as the same time I upgrade the drive as they tend be to worn from either scraping along the upper case (bottom from this direction) and where it raps over the optical drive and the folds.
