Can glass crack on phone cause sensor glitches?

Hello, my phone is broken i want to fix it but if its screen is cracked i will need more money but if its glass broke i will fix it oh and one more like screen ckarcking it dosent changes colors or somethin when i touch .pls tell me is it myth or true that glass crack can cause sensor glitches?
