I have an hdd from my old computer that broke. I opened it up and pulled out the hard drive and kept it for several years forgetting about it. I recently bought an adapter so I can view my old videos but don't know how to do that. Any advice?

If you have a usb adapter it should be as easy as plugging it into a windows machine and clicking on the drive in file manager and looking at the files.

Could you post a picture of the adapter you are using?
I added a couple pics of my hdd and adapter to my question.
That looks like it should work fine with just a laptop hard drive. Have your tried any other usb ports on the computer?
Does it want you to format the drive when you first plug it in?
It doesn't say anything when I plug it in.
