My ear speaker does not work 3gs

For some reason the forum won't let me update my comment

Alex Jensen kindly answered: This is the part which holds the earpiece speaker. It could be a broken cable #3 or some other damage. Does the proximity sensor respond normally? IE does the screen shut off when covering the top portion of the phone while on a call?

I just bought the Front Panel Assembly and installed it yesterday. The screen does shut off when covering the top portion of the phone.

Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure that the cable #3 is not broken (I just bought it), I reinstalled my old front panel and the ear speaker works perfectly.

you will need to clean and inspect the connection on the motherboard, you may have damaged pins. also try a hard reset. hold power and home buttons for 10 secs until apple logo appears and then allow to reboot-this may allow the iphone to recognise the new hardware.
