Display Issue Problem Isolation

So I just did a logic board replacement on my MacBook Pro (13" Mid 2012) because I had previously (this was my best theory) over worked my gpu. The symtpoms pre-logic board replacement were that it ran fine until it didn't and it crashed with chaotic horizontal lines across the display and would promptly restart. Based on these symptoms I researched and found I had most likely damaged my gpu which I can confirm is likely as I was at the time unknowingly putting a lot of stress on my computer's graphics capabilities.

So, the logic board switched out well enough and my computer no longer appears to crash with the aforementioned display/gpu issues, however, my internal display no longer works. HOWEVER, the external display works fine and my computer does not crash anymore like it was.

-I can shine a light through the back and only the apple logo appears. (while on)

-My display is still found by my computer under devices and the graphics/displays listing under system information.

-my camera at the top of my display still works also

So I wanted to get a bit of assurance that a display replacement would end my troubles once and for all. Any input?
