Camera flash stopped working after front panel replacement

Possibly unrelated, but after changing the front panel on my iPhone 6, the camera flash (not the camera itself) turned on for a split-second the first time I tried it, then went back off, almost as if it "burnt out." Nothing I've tried has remedied it (restores, letting it sit without battery connected for a week).

I know it's an LED so the flash itself probably hasn't burnt out, but is it possible I could have damaged a filter or something along the way that could cause this? If so, where should I be looking for evidence?

Thanks

I did see it come on for a second while taking a picture (the first one after a restore) and it appears to flicker VERY faintly for a millisecond when you manually turn it on. Occasionally it will go back to full intensity for a .25 seconds or so, so the "bulb" itself isn't dead.

Have you tested it with a new camera attachment? If not you should. The whole piece needs to be replaced for one single part to work properly.
