New 3DS XL hinder removal

So, I wish to remove and replace upper parts of N3DS I have. Main problem with it - it seems like I am unable to detatch upper part of console to get ribbon cables removed safely. In teardown, I've seen that there's hinder pin near the place where rainbow LED sits, at side with R trigger. As I understand, by removing it I can detatch the upper part of the console. But how exactly it can be done? Maybe I have poor arrangement of tools, but so far I was unable to, like, pull it out either of ways.
