Touchscreen is not working

I`ve cracked my Iphone 5c screen after a headlevel drop , 2 weeks after my touchscreen started to not respond sometimes but when i was touching my phone a bit hard it started to respond. 3 days with this issues and then suddenly 1 morning my touch was dead .. I was thinking that it is cause the broken screen, i bought new one, but touch is still not working , (the screen is OK it works i do some things with siri ).. i tried my old screen on other phone and its working .. can it be fixed or its totally dead ? One friend said that his phone has the same issue and from the shop they have said to him that its from the board and it can`t be fixed but i am still hoping that my "green weapon" will work properly again :)

While "Touch Disease" is specific to the iPhone 6+, your phone has developed essentially the same problem due to the drop. There are probably some broken solder balls under the IC's responsible for Touch. Additionally, the iPhone 5c, with it's plastic housing, is more prone to cracks and micro-fractures to the logic board.

This may be repairable but the cost of a micro-soldering repair for such an old device may not be worth it.
