Turns off randomly after digitizer replacement

Hey,

So I just finished up a repair for a client. They had a iPad 4th gen which required a new digitizer/glass replacement. I run my own phone/tablet repair and have worked on many iPads in the past but never seen this happen.

Basically what the issue is the iPad will suddenly turn off and go to the low battery screen. Once I plug a charger in, it instantly turns back on and has over 60% battery life. Doing things like turning up the brightness to full bright or using the camera will again shut the iPad down without notice. If the iPad is just sitting on the home screen though it wont turn off.

Is this hardware or software related, anyone else had this happen to them? Would love to get some answers. Cheers

Answer this question I have this problem too

I’ll give it a shot, thanks for your help. If it isn’t software related? Will replacing the battery most likely fix it?

It is look like Ipad is malfunctioning. Now to confirm that it is hardware problem restore your ipad. But before that take full backup of your ipad.

To restore ipad just connect it to computer open itunes click on summary tab and then on right side pan you will get restore option. Restore ipod to latest version of ios. Once restoring ipad or ipod is completed. dont restore backup.

Just start using camera also use some application default installed and also check what is battery level Keep testing ipad for 10 to 12 hours. if still it turn off then it is issue of hardware.
