How to improve the connection at the circle pad zif socket?

In my initial teardown of a 3DS, I inadvertently pried off the plastic tab that closes the zif connector for my circle pad. Now, the connection is not strong enough to reliably send readings to the console, leading to erratic behavior. Is there a way to remedy this situation without replacing the motherboard?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Measure and replace the ZIF connector on the board. You will need to solder.

After eyeballing photos (I no longer own a 3DS variant of any kind) one of these is likely your connector: https://www.digikey.com/products/en/conn...
