SERIOUS iPhone Software Issues

This is a serious issue I have not seen anyone have to this extent nevertheless be able to solve online... So warning.

DAY 1: (Prologue) Tuesday I leave my iPhone in a charger on a coach bus. Note; the coach bus socket was not producing any electricity for anyone else's phone on the bus also the charger was a very cheap Chinese one. Moving on. I come back to the bus around 4 hours later to find a phone that is completely DEAD. This phone wouldn't turn on or show any indication of life no matter how much I pressed any button. Plugged it into a wall plug later that night and it would not budge, nothing worked. Came home and plugged it into my Mac and iTunes popped up saying "iPhone is in recovery mode needs to be updated and restored".

'''(Now if this were a movie/book right now this part would be the rising action)

So I'm like whatever an erased phone is better than a phone that won't even turn on. Did it and the second it was supposed to start restoring a message popped up saying "iPhone cannot be restored." with a white apple logo and frozen scrolling bar so I'm like alrightttt, and then I try again and boom the same message pops up.

DAY 2: (The Journey Begins)

I woke up and I did my research and installed every 'Exit Recovery Mode' software on my Mac there is known to man. Not a single one worked. Called Apple and I bet that customer service lady was absolutely confused about what my iPhone issue was so she made an appointment to go to a Genius Bar a hour & a half after we ended our call. So fair enough, I take a hour bus ride to apple store and go to my appointment. Guy puts my iPhone plugged into his Mac and gets the exact same message with the exact same logo and frozen scrolling bar on my phone, then says everything I already knew and tells me I need to either replace my screen for $129- blah blah or replace my phone for $4- blah blah, basically I wasn't advanced in anyway with my phone repair journey. Now, a little heated having spent a hour getting here and now having to go a hour home with no knowledge in which I didn't know before.

At this point, I feel defeated. I come home but you know what, I'm not done yet! I dig deep inside myself and think.. "IS this really who I am? A man who gives up without giving his all into it, without devoting his soul to it? NO THAT"S NOT WHO I AM!" So I continue. I dedicated that entire day to just simply getting my phone to work. And at the end of the day, I was left questioning if I'm really the man I was destined to be. Nothing worked. Just a bunch of programs left on my mac alone in the vast void of memory which I still not have occupied.

DAY 3: (What Have I Done..?)

Now again, I didn't dedicate my ENTIRE day to fixing my phone this time, but MOST of it was. This day I thought to myself, hmm, what if I tried going on my PC to install and work on this instead of using my mac? So that's what I did. I took a nice stroll down from my living room all the way to my own room.

That's when I started installing the same programs, and doing the same things I was doing on my mac. 5 hours later... It's nighttime and still absolutely NO progress. I even downloaded something which gave me a virus and completely stalled my search. But that didn't really matter because at the end of the night falling asleep I was beating myself thinking "Gabriel, why on earth would you leave a cheap %#*@ charger plugged into a socket that doesn't even have power? Like seriously." In other words, I still did not find a cure to this dark disease that has taken over my iPhone leaving it abandoned in the void of software with no way of escaping. I again felt defeated, and now was the time that I started to loose hope that fixing this iPhone will ever be possible.

DAY 4: (Nearing the End but Nah)

Going on with my everyday life. Using my brother's old iPhone as a replacement for the time being and things were alright. Until, the touch screen problem on his phone really got to me and I tried replacing the screen myself with an old iPhone 5 screen I had lying around but complely butchered it and was left without a connection to the wireless wire waves in which I so desperatley rely on for my work. So that's when I did it,

(Now comes the top absolute climax of this question)

I bought the full version of 'Reiboot' for a scattering $42! I was shocked but I'm desperate because this is the only way I am able to contact my employers. Seriously. So I bought this full version because it had this cool feature called 'IOS System Recovery'. Excited, I pressed that FIX NOW button with complete joy, complete hope with a complete sense of finally after all this time I have finally the solution!

10 mins later.. I get a message saying "Sorry could not repair, please try again." So I did and again sharing the same message that made me internally feel like a giant fist was punching a wide open hole in my heart. Then I'm like, Gabriel calm down, there's still an option open and that was 'Advanced System Repair.' Click on it, and was so ready, so ready for this problem that's been taking up most of my headpsace since Tuesday and it's Saturday! I come back to my computer, hearts dropped that night as it again said "Could not repair iPhone, please try again."

DAY 5: (The Search for An Answer)

Nevertheless the past few days has been a rough patch in my summer but I am still hopeful for a way. This is the time YOU come in. Your time to shine. If you are able to help me in anyway possible figure out what in the world I have done wrong and how I can fix it I will love you for as long as the sun rises amd sets each day, forever.

Thank you lol

Well that $43 got wasted as 3Utools has the same feature and does more.

And that sounds like charging ic chip got damaged from using a car charger with non original charging cable.

You will need to take it to someone that does microsoldering to fix it.

If you are lucky it might be just the battery.

Sadly, I have to agree with Ben. You're fighting a hardware issue not a software issue.

You need to keep control of your charging hardware! You can't trust open USB ports. Cheap stuff will damage your phone!

Another issue people forget in a motor vehicle is not to leave the phone plugged into the Aux output when you are starting your car! When you turn over the engine you can get a good surge though the power services of the car. I know I killed my phone that way even using a real Apple cable!

Another issue thats starting to be an issue is phone skimmers! Just like how your credit card can be skimmed using store or ATM credit card reader. Today people are offering free power connections which are not just offering power! They are downloading your stuff! So far the older Android phones are at risk!

@benjamen50 - But the phone shows the Apple logo and scrolling is just fine, so if I just replace a charging IC chip then it will all go away?

by

Scrolling? Can you explain what you mean by that?

Sometime's it's worse than the charging IC causing it to get stuck at apple logo which at that point it may cost too much to get it working.

Look for someone that offers a no fix no fee service so that you don't pay if it isn't fixed.
