No display after battery replacement

A customer brought the device to me saying it needed a battery. Device showed no signs of life.

I replaced the battery. The logic board heated up but no picture. Also, i did this repair without removing the front panel assembly.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try another screen, known working charger battery?

Also does it detect via computer in iTunes in case of a no backlight issue?

I tried an authorized charging and nothing. I thought about trying another screen. I'll give them the option because they bought it from someone else so there's no telling what prior issues that it had.

I would suggest disconnecting the front panel assembly while replacing the battery. Then try booting your device up with the new battery. If it does not turn on or show signs of functionality, I would look into replacing the logic board.
