sound but no picture
i have a strange problem with my lg 55lf5700 .the picture went a week ago so i replaced the t-con board but that didnt fix the problem. I replaced the main board and still the problem remained . But i inadvertently noticed that if i unplug the ribbon cable that links the tcon with the main board and reconnect it there is an image for a split second as the cable makes contact.then the image goes.
the backlights are lit however ther is no image except for that split second that i disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable .
Any insights?

That is a strange one. Have you tried flexing the cable in different areas without actually disconnecting it to get a picture to flash? If you can get it to do that it may be worth replacing the cable. You might also try using a pencil eraser to clean the tiny contacts on each end.
I checked to see if there are any firmware updates for your model and did not see any. But you may wish to check as well. www.lg.com.

yes i did in fact tried on multiple ocassions to flex the cable just to see if there were broken connections inside it that would make/break contact as i flexed it but no that didnt work .the image only flashes on when the either end of the cable makes contact . i am going to clean the contacts but i doubt that will help. but here goes.... i will revert
