Upgrade from non Retina screen to Retina

I have a Macbook mid-2012 13" (9,2) and was wondering if it was possible to replace the display with the late macbook 2012 13" with retina. SAcoording to this site the retina model still has an intel hd 4000:

Though, I have seen that the dimensions are not the same.

Sadly no, sorry to say it's a bit of square peg, round hole problem.

While the graphics services are the same within the Intel chip, the driver logic on the logic board and the signaling is different.

Well, yes. If you change the logic board, as they have different connectors. The GPU also is unable to push out the resolution of the retina display, and it couldn’t do it at an acceptable frame rate.
