Replaced battery, getting "device not compatible message," help?

I just replaced a shot battery in a 3G. Yes I used a 3G specific battery. I work on iPhones all the time and have never had this issue. That being, after replacing with new battery I get a message displaying that "this device not compatible""it may interfere with cellular strength" and a soft key allowing me to dismiss but it keeps popping up. The phone is not JB or unlocked. Any ideas are much appreciated!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Thanks for the info gents. Yes I did replace all screws and connectors. The phone was brought to me dead. I found the battery was not holding a charge, after new battery it powers up but this problem occurs. I am going to look into the dock connector and see if that might have something to do with it. Thanks again!

Hmm... I've heard of this before. It could actually be that it is unrelated to your battery problem. Has the phone ever been water damaged? A buddy of mine had this problem after his old phone got dropped in a puddle. It could also be that when you replaced the battery, you accidentally shorted something somewhere. Are all the screws back in their places?

Agree with the answer just read up on this odd error and found that it might be related to water damage as well as the dock connector which would explain the error messages. I'd check for moisture damage and clean the dock connector and make sure the pins are lining up :) http://mobiles.bigresource.com/Track/mob...
