How to save iPhone after putting it in rice to prevent water damage?

So, the title may be abbot confusing. Basically, I dropped my phone in the toilet and quickly took it out. I removed my case and SIM card, dried it off , then put it in rice for 36 hours as I read that was the right thing to do. However, after I did some more research I found the rice is not the correct option at all! I have already taken the phone out, and am seeing the effects as my battery is draining very fast.

@gigabit87898's advice is good but at this point, your only option is to have it looked at by a professional repair shop. The damage has already been done by letting it sit in rice for so long. A repair shop will do a proper decontamination and troubleshoot the board. Some shops don' t like to fix the phone for the sake of the phone and focus only on data recovery. IMO, phones that have limited and localized damage are usually salvageable. That said, the only way to know is to strip the logic board of its shields, inspect and clean in an ultrasonic bath...and then troubleshoot.

First of all, turn it off. If you can take the phone apart, remove the logic board and put it in isopropyl alcohol. Let it soak for 10 mins. Then get a toothbrush and scrub off the corrosion. Take it out, make sure it is fully dry and see what happens.
