Why wont my tablet turn on?

I keep on charging my tablet. But it will turn on for like 5 sec and turn off. I need help to get it to work ASAP.

Options

There may be a fault with the battery, with it not holding any charge or an issue with the charging port itself.

You could also try using a different charging cable just to rule that being the issue
