What does eggtimer symbol mean
When I take a picture the eggtimer symbol appears on the screen and the picture takes about a minute to register
Is this a good question?
Sadly, there was a time you only have four or so means to control your camera. Todays cameras are quite complex! With yes 1000's of adjustments and settings!
Checkout page 69 of the owners manual (see above) to see if you engaged the basic timer. You also have a smile timer! Where the camera waits until the subject smiles.
The other possibility is what you set the camera to save the image. RAW or JPEG, RAW images are quite large so you can encounter issues with your storage media not being fast enough or even large enough. JPEG compresses the image before its saved. While it takes less space it does take some time to process. So the deeper you compress the longer it takes.
How you shoot can also effect things! There is a setting that does a burst of images! That way you can choose which one caught the right moment. In addition there is a setting the bracket so you get three (or more) images which has different exposure settings. Then you have video Vs still's
Wow, so many possibilities!
