Hi..
I've just fitted a new battery to my iphone 6.. bought the battery from a reputable source. Assembly went well but got a major problem.. phone has been on charge for an hour and won't switch on... I've tried the mute switch button to see for vibration... no charging symbol... nothing... dead... do these new batteries take a long time to wake up from being Sat on the shelf for so long????

What was wrong with the old battery?
Hopefully not it went flat then couldn't charge phone anymore.
Was it draining fast and that indicated that the battery needed replacing?

The old battery started losing charge very fast and had to keep charging it every half hour.. I've changed batteries before and not has this problem before. I bought a new one and the seller has told me it needs to be charged over night.. it's been on charge 3 and a half hours now. I've checked all the connections, cleaned and everything.. but still no life...
