Will it start by itself if you disconnect the battery and plug the charger?
With all the feedback you have given us all I can say is that you much likely have a motherboard issue, current sensing issue.
Try and find a local shop that does motherboard level repair and that they try to have a closer look at your machine.

I'm almost sure that I've just commented on this question @danj
@soros - Yes, you did ;-} I moved it to an answer. You're on the right track.
No it will not start up when I disconnect the battery and plug the Charger
@zugwai Can you give us a little bit more history? Did you dropped the machine, liquid spill? Did you try to change something before ?
It worked the night before I left it to sleep and it was plugged then came the next day and it didn't turn on that's it

What is the model of your laptop? Such as the Axxxx model number on the bottom of the machine.
And what is the history, as in what happened that led to this failure.

Did you remove the mag-safe when you pulled the battery? Please tell us which model you have.
