Phone vibrates very loud and home button clicks

I have had this phone a few months now and have not had an issue until I updated to 10.3.2. Now it vibrates so loud that I'm scared it will hurt the phone. it has also started to make a very loud click sound when pressed. Both of these issues were no where near as bad before I updated. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Did you bring it to Apple to see if they will give you a free replacement? Sounds like a defective Taptic Engine.

@zq8blazer I agree sounds like your Taptic Engine has either come lose or it is defective. I’ve seen several Taptic engines loosen up just from vibration as they are only held in with 2 screws.

I was suddenly having this problem. I took the phone apart following instructions that I found online - using the tools that I had from an iPhone battery replacement kit. When I opened the phone I found four tiny screws that had come loose and were just rolling around inside the phone. I screwed them back in place with the tiny screwdriver that cane with the kit. Then I put the phone back together and turned it on…. woohoo - it’s completely fixed!!

I personally called Apple since my phone is having the same issue since yesterday. The lady the phone was super sweet and she did a diagnostic to see if anything was wrong on the phone. Everything was fine but my issue is something within the actual phone. I’d call Apple and make sure everything externally like the camera, battery, and etc is fine in th diagnostic check, and if it is then go ahead and take your phone in. The lady also told me she’d never heard anyone with this issue before which I thought was odd. She also told me to turn off my vibrations on everything so that way nothing else in the phone would be damaged. So go ahead and turn on your ringer but instead of it vibrating and using a tone, use the tone instead.

I fixed mine yesterday after looking inline for almost a year with no results found with an accurate answer… there was a screw missing off my taptics engine.. the screw was sitting right next to it.. I don’t know how that happened but I screwed it back on and it has been silent ever since!

i had this issue after an Apple Centre fitted a new battery. 2 weeks after the engine rattled like it was on cobbles and it sounded like the phone was going to fall apart. Turned out that the 3 screws holding rhe taptic engine had all come loose and were flying about inside the compartment.

I had this yesterday! I had recently changed the charging port about a week ago or so but I reopened my phone yesterday due to the home button being loud and and vibrations were super loud!! On inspection 2 of the haptic unit screws had come loose! So it’s probably worth making sure those screws are all tight!

hope this helps
