Repeating songs in music app

I have been trying to find how to stop each song repeating itself. My iPod touch use to play one different song after another. Now it just repeats each song, unless I manually press the next song. Help! This is no good when exercising as one cannot stop every 3-4 minutes and press the next song.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If you have IOS 9 or 10: go to the music player, when in the play/pause,... menu scroll down. There should be 2 buttons: "Repeat" and "Shuffle" Press the repeat button until the highlight is gone.

When I select the playlist either in shuffle or continuous, the songs will play consecutively for a while then it locks onto one song and continuously keeps playing the same song.

You're welcome! I remember having a hard time in that new interface there. It was an accidental scroll that revealed the buttons. Have a great day!

I remember having the same problem a while ago until one of my friends opened my eyes, and told me how to fix this. Indeed it helped to press the repeat button until the highlight is gone, and for some reason, it took me a while to discover that. It's not the best interface I would say, and shortly after I upgraded to an iOS 11. It was a headache especially when I was working out because I needed to stop very often and change the track or listen to it over and over. I had a great playlist from https://mp3juices.red and I was so mad that I couldn't enjoy it properly. The iOS 11 is much better but it's still missing some features, but at least, I don't have this problem anymore.

To overcome this, I have a solution via the bbqmp3.club site to listen to songs online via your browser.

Yeah, I know what you are talking about. I had an app, where there was the same problem, it is very uncomfortable. By the way, for some reason, I haven't found some of the songs on Apple music, are they only uploaded on youtube? Well, I can use mp3juice to download them, but I just don't understand why artists don't upload their music on streaming services. I know that music distribution can be pretty expensive for some artists, but when your videos are getting millions of views, it makes sense to use it and get money from streaming services as well.

You can't. The iPod Touch 5 can only run up to iOS 9.
