Flashed Beats Pill Plus

My company was recently throwing away a Beats Pill+ that has been "flashed". They told me I could have the speaker if I wanted because it was going in the trash anyway. The flashed Pill has been reprogrammed to only work with an aux cable and when it is plugged in. The Bluetooth and charging capabilities have been disabled. This was done in case someone stole it during our expo they wouldn't be able to sell it. Is there anyway for this "flashed" Pill+ to be reverted back to factory settings? Thanks.

Nah the factory reset didn't work. I think is was programmed either from Apple or Beats to not be that easy to revert back to the factory settings.

Chosen Solution

So there is, however I'm wondering if the settings it was originally on was a display mode, which will likely be unuseable to anyone besides the retailer. Here, try this first, then come back to us

Use the Lightning to USB cable to plug your Beats Pill+ into a power source.

Turn the speaker on.

Hold down both the "b" button and the power button for 6 seconds.

The Fuel Gauge flashes red 6 times.

Your Beats Pill+ is restored to the settings it had when it was purchased.

Correct my guess is that the factory settings are set up for display. So no one can steal it. It can be erased/reset but you'll likely need some code, from the supplier

Does the answer to reprogramming it involve coding or wiring?
