TouchId cable is broken

Hi

I have replaced my iphone 6 screen. I removed the silver LCD back plate i had slightly torn the flex cable which was stuck to the lcd cracked screen.

My question is, if i buy the new one will it work? I've seen same post but I do not know if it's still up to date. My touch id cable is okey just back plate is broken. I have the newest ios version.

Yes it will work, provided the replacement home button extension cable itself is not faulty.

This is the kind of part you will want to buy (Buying just the cable itself is more unnecessary effort to install):

iPhone 6 LCD Shield Plate with Sticker and Home Cable

Should be fairly easy to source out the part on website such as eBay as well.

Thank you very much, I have one more question, I read that iphones after replacing this cable have problem with error 53, is it still happening or was it fixed by updates?

It was around a year ago or more with the preceding iOS update so it should be no problem unless you are running a very old OS, if it does happen to occur just updating the phone through iTunes should fix it no problem.
