Have to manually start spin cycle.
Washer works fine. But you have to manually nudge it to start the spin.
Is this a good question?

chilij28 that could be an issue with the motor windings (this would be my prime suspect) , bad start capacitor (usually washer motors do not have capacitors but we do not know your model washer) or a bad clutch. If you can provide us with the complete model number of your washer, we should find the right manual and help you out further.

chilij28, When you say you have to nudge it, do you mean you have to advance(turn) timer slightly or do you mean you have to actually bump machine or do you mean you have to try and spin the drum by hand.
