Backlight not working iPod functions fine

I have been fixing ipods for a bit now. Having said that I am stumped on this one. No signs of water damage at all and the indicator is white. The back light pins on the ribbon cable are fine. Normally I can read 8.5V on the back light pins, but this one is about 3.88 to 4v. Brightness is all the way up and back light is set to be always on.

Looks like I might have answered my own question.

The 2 coils on the back on the logic board read 0.3-5 ohms, which is normal, but the one on the front (guessing for the LCD back light) read around 2.155M ohms. I guess that is why I still get some voltage across the back light pins.

Now I need my solder rework station here >,<.
