Battery health shows good but its not lasting

My battery on my MacBook is about 3 years old, when I go into the information for the battery it shows that it still has the full charge capacity left and that it has only been through 120 cycles and that it is in normal condition....my issue is that it will not last for any longer than about 20-30 minutes. I am wondering what may be wrong, I monitor my computers activity and it always says nothing is using significant energy. I am running OS X 10.9.5. Thanks for the help.

I updated my original question with the results. Thanks again...it still appears to show a normal healthy battery as far as I can tell...

Maybe try updating to yosemite, el cap or sierra. I have a 2010 macbook a1342 which has sierra on it. Now i do have 10gb of ram and a 240gb ssd but what are your system specs? Ill let you know if they are enough to run it.

2.26 intel core 2 duo and 4gb ram, I had Sierra. It was slow...so I went back to mavericks. I'm happy with how quick it runs...

Maybe try yosemite. Did you have the same issue in sierra?
