Static issue on iPhone 7?

After applying anti-static conductive paste on the iPhones 7 screen it stop working. It looks like it shorts it out or the flex is damaged.

Any suggestions ?

I know that at least refurbishing iPhone 5 series screen requires it.

iPhone 6 you can get away with not using it but not 100% sure on iPhone 7 probably the same thing.

Have you tried a using touch screen without the anti-static conductive paste (though it may have issues without it while charging)?

If you are getting a green screen during usage (static), leave it unplugged for a while and it will resolve itself. If you are getting purple marks wherever you touch the screen, it is probably a bad quality polariser. If the touch stops working completely, you may have slightly damaged the ribbon or the edge of the digitiser (corner or side may be missing/have small fracture).

Hi, if I fail to use conductive paste would this lead issues including unresponsive Fd touch not working and temperamental touch, though the lcd displays peeferctly?

I find this a lot on the iphone 7 screens.

They are tested ok before refurb and afterwards they don’t.

What is the actual purpose or use of conductive paste?
