No sound on TV

OK so I tried everything the volume button and all does this mean I need a new TV can someone get back to me please

@agl you obviously left this incomplete question as an answer to a question from someone else. Lets start at the beginning. What make and model is your TV? what does or does it not do? What have you tried? Is the power LED blinking? Any LED blinking? Any pattern to the blink?

Did you mute your TV? Are any cables disconnected?
