The LG G4 was released in the US in early June 2015, as always focusing on high-end specifications and a refined fashion sense that makes it stand out in the premium smartphone market. Each version of the phone will have a different model number based on if it is sold by a carrier or unlocked (US or International). Some LG G4's are known to have bootloop problems.

Unlocking bootloader with LG

Done everything from the link to LG and it said the bootloader is unlocked.

I've put a different SIM into the phone and it says network locked.

Any ideas? I just need to be able to use a different carrier.

Unlocking the bootloader just allows you to flash stuff other than LG G4 official firmware ROM onto the phone.

It does not network unlock a device.

Which carrier / service provider for network is it locked to right now? You will need to contact them to give you the network unlock code to network unlock the phone. Probably won't be free to do.

There should also be mobile phone repair shops locally that offer network unlocking service for that too.
