Is it possible to connect my iPhone 6 screen to a different housing?

Just curious:

I have an iPhone 6 with a fairly messed up internal housing (Battery, motherboard issues) But my screen functions fine. Would buying an iPhone 6 with a cracked screen for cheap, which would be running on my carrier/unlocked, and connecting my screen be a wise idea? I could spend $250 on a used phone, or simply buy one that's too cracked to be used, and attach my screen to it. Just not sure if there would be functionality issues.

I figure; if you can buy screens and attach them to your housing, why shouldn't I be able to attach my screen to a foreign housing?

Thanks

Sure you can but just remember that the data/settings are on the logic board. If you buy a phone and intend on using your own screen, insure that it is not iCloud locked or a reported stolen IMEI. Whatever is on that phone is yours now; you will have to reset the phone to start clean.

If you can do a backup of your current device now, then setting up a new phone will be that much easier.
