NO USB or Keyboard

Has Windows 10. Worked fine initially. Hooked it up to an external monitor via the mini HDMI jack and worked fine. When I unplugged the monitor the computer would no longer recognize the USB and the attachable keyboard will not work. The computer works fine with the touch screen and on screen keyboard, but I need the USB.

Any suggestions?
