Says there isn't a game in it when I know there is

My son stuck a game in it backwoods and it stretched out the cartridge holder and now it won't even read or say there's a game in it.... any help would b appreciated because this happened the very first day he had this....

If the cartridge slot looks like it's damaged, it most likely is, and there isn't really anything you can do unfortunately, since hit appears that the slot is soldered to the motherboard. The only thing you could do is replace the motherboard, there is an ifixit guide for that, and new motherboards are available from ifixit for about $80. You could try blowing out the slot with compressed air first, but it's probably toast. Otherwise, you could look for some repair services that do this kind of repair, looks like there are a few around.

Before replacing anything, you should try to bend the contacts back in place (carefully!) and try again. Does the game work if you hold it completely in? You can also go to a repair shop to let them solder in a new cartridge slot, that would probably be cheaper
